APPLICATIONS

We Build Compounding System for Different Applications

PVC Pelletizing

PVC is durable, cheap, and easily worked. Before PVC can be made into finished products, it always requires conversion into a compound by the incorporation of additives (but not necessarily all of the following) such as heat stabilizers, UV stabilizers, plasticizers, processing aids, impact modifiers, thermal modifiers, fillers, flame retardants, biocides, blowing agents and smoke suppressors, and, optionally, pigments.

A variety of processes are used to form PVC Compounds: extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, calendaring, spreading, and coating.

Filler Masterbatch

FILLER masterbatches are used in injection, blow-moulding, film(One layer or Multiple layer), sheet and tapes applications. They offer the following advantages:

a) Injection & blow-moulding

  • Lower raw materials cost, as they are usually more economic than polymer resins
  • Increased output due to faster mould cooling
  • Reduction of colour masterbatch requirement
  • Higher resistance to heat deflection, higher rigidity and stiffness
  • Improved dimensional stability, weldability and printability

Addition rate of FILLER masterbatches in injection & blow-moulding applications can be up to 50 %, however, most usual levels are between 5-30 %.

b) Film, sheet, sacks, bags, raffia

  • Lower raw materials cost, as they are usually more economic than polymer resins
  • Reduction of colour masterbatch requirement
  • Higher stiffness, paper-like effect
  • Improved weldability and printability
  • Improved anti-blocking properties
  • Better bubble stability

Addition rate of FILLER masterbatches in film applications is 2-20 %.

c) PE & PP tapes

  • Antifibrillation (also known as anti splitting)
  • Lower raw materials cost, as they are usually more economic than polymer resins
  • Reduction of colour masterbatch requirement
  • Higher stiffness
  • Improved weldability and printability
  • Improved anti-blocking properties
  • Improved weaving ability
  • Easier processing

Usual addition rate of FILLER masterbatches in tapes is 3-8 %.

d) HDPE & PP Pipe

  • Replacing expensive white masterbatch with its high white degree
  • Lower raw materials cost, as they are usually more economic than polymer resins
  • Higher stiffness
  • Smooth pipes with lower coefficient of friction to better prevent them from blocking
  • Being less possible to be brittel in low temperature due to its excellent cold resistance

Usual addition rate of FILLER masterbatches in tapes is 5-30 %.

Color Masterbatch

Color masterbatch compounding is one of the main applications for twin screw extruder. Color MB is used for any polymer and all kinds of products.

There are three types of Color Masterbatch:
1) Mono color masterbatch or SPC (single pigment concentrate): polymer compounding with one single pigment and mostly without the wax and additive
2) Tailor-Made masterbatch or Custom coloring: mixing different Mono color masterbatch pellets to get the color the customer wants
3) Customized masterbatch: mix polymer and several pigment and additives

Cable Compounds

Cable compounds are materials used to prevent the ingress of moisture into telecommunication and power transmission cables. The exact nature of the compound varies depending upon the type of cable in which they are used, but generally they are either soft waxy compounds (for use in copper-wire telecom cables), soft thixotropic gels with a consistency similar to that of hair gel (for use in optical fibre cables), or resin/polymer thickened oils (for use in paper insulated energy cables).

Cable compounds are formulated and manufactured to have very good electrical resistance properties to ensure good functioning of the filled cable.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Halogen-free, self-extinguishing formulations for cables (HFFR)
Compounds for low, medium and high-voltage cables on an elastomer basis
Cross-linkable PE (mixing of peroxide)
Temperature and shear-sensitive products such as PVC insulations and sheaths,
XLPE and radiation cross-linkable plastics
Semiconductor compounds and special products which contain alloys and blends

Additive Masterbatch

Additive Masterbatch is used in a wide variety of applications. For any type of plastic product, it needs at least two type of additives to modify the physical or chemical properties, such as flame resistance, thermal stability or weather resistance.

We design the extruders for additive masterbatch according to your requests and circumstances.

Engineering Plastics

Engineering plastics can be used as engineering materials and plastics that replace metal to manufacture machine parts. Engineering plastics have excellent comprehensive properties, high rigidity, low creep, high mechanical strength, good heat resistance, and good electrical insulation. They can be used for a long time in harsh chemical and physical environments, and can be used as engineering structural materials instead of metals.

Plastics Recycling

As plastic is applied in more and more areas, waste plastic recycling emerges due to diverse area difference of cost and performance requirement.

Flavia single screw extrusion and pelletizing system for rigid waste combines quantitative feeding, high efficiency extruder, different types of filters and different types of pelletizers by modular design. It provides best solution for

PE,PP,PS,ABS,PET,PA and many other rigid plastics.

Other Compounds

Polymers have been continuously replacing materials such as metal, glasses, and paper due to their flexible characteristics and low cost. There are thousands of formulae for different plastic applications.

Except the main purposes, there are many other types of plastic compounding for specific scenarios. Such as:

*  Wood Compounds

*  Thermoset Compounds

* 3D printer Filament

*  Elastomer Compounds

*  Pet Food Compounds
